So, I guess we've gone past the due date. We were hopeful that yesterday would be the day but the baby thought otherwise. We talked about this last night and it actually is something of a relief. We had August 11th marked on our calendars for months now. I had a countdown going at work. There was an expectation that grew each day.
Well, now that's over. We're truly on baby time. In truth, we've been on baby time all along but we just didn't realize it. The little critter has it's own agenda. That's probably an important lesson of parenthood.
Still...we are ready anytime you want to come out.

Micah said you called looking for some advice on getting the baby interested in being born. The night before Connett was born, Micah decided to just get up and go for a ridiculously long walk (everything I read says that is a no-no) and her water broke the next morning. It is possible the two were related, but doctors will never committ.
4 out of 5 of the women who lived in my old neighborhood swore that eating George's Pizza on they reached full term resulted in immediate onset of labor. Not sure how George's would use that for marketing purposes, but 4 of 5 is pretty good. Micah was the one it didn't work for though.
Hang in there. Waiting is the worst part. Of course, a couple of weeks on 4 hours of sleep a night and you'll be wondering why you were in such a hurry, but it is still hard to wait.
Hang in there and celebrate your last couple nights of babyless living. It really does only get better.
