Baseball and Family

Very sweet bit from the NYT regarding a father and daughter bonding over the White Sox. Don't worry Twins fans, it's probably possible to bond over other teams . . .

I would point out that certain high-ranking government officials from Chicago, who shall remain nameless and who claim to have been life-long fans of That Team, were unable, when pressed, to name a single player from their childhood growing up.

They also completely botched the pronunciation of Mr. Comiskey's name. Perhaps it's just me, as one of the aforementioned Twins fans, but I think I could name several members of MY childhood team were I put on the spot like that...(and Calvin Griffith) :]

Just sayin'.
