(Via Ross Douthat) Here's a post talking about questionable plot points from Wall-E. Major spoilers of course, so proceed at your own risk. Certainly an interesting post. The FP Gal and I had talked about some of these, including the title question, but in the end we decided that this type of thing misses the point.
The beauty of the movie rests on one thing. The character of Wall-E is incredibly touching. He's touching in a way that no movie character has approached since ET. Yes, that movie had plot holes, too but it didn't matter either.
