Lawnmower needed

We need some advice. Summer is coming up and that means that soon the yard will need mowing. And not just once, but probably several times. And both of us hate doing it.
Well, the money isn't too bad for us now so I suggested that we hire someone to mow for us. I had in mind some young teenager who could come over once a week (or every other or something like that) and mow the durn thing. We could give them a dollar or something and everyone would be happy.
But there are problems with that approach (and apparently inflation means that $1 is out of the question). We have an electric mower with a long extension cord. The FP Gal is afraid that a young mower would run over the cord and ruin it. Also, we are surrounded by renal properties and don't know many of our neighbors.
So we need advice. How do we find someone to help us out?

Where did that classy dude with the boobies on his truck go? Maybe he'd be available. You could pay him in dollars or meth.

We haven't had a lawn to mow for three years, so I have very little advice on this dilemma. To be honest, it's always been Hans' job. And actually, I think he enjoyed conquering the grass.

Maybe get a cupholder for the mower and treat yourself to a beer while you mow?

Perhaps you could find someone with a Goat to borrow once a week!

When we lived in Minneapolis I bought an old fashioned push motor - you know, no cord, no gas, all legs & arms?

I looked at it as a free workout once a week. It went really fast because we had such a small but oddly shaped lawn.

Not sure what else to tell ya.

I have a lawnmower I'd love to get rid of for free. It's not great and needs a tune-up, but it could be all yours for the hauling!!

I say let it grow. Turn your yard into a lovely garden of natural grasses. What the heck is Kentucky Blue Grass doing in Minnesota anyway? You could remove all the sod and do clover - green, looks like grass from afar, native and it doesn't need mowing either!
