Hugos at the Movies

An interesting column from John Scalzi, talking about this year's Hugo Best Novel nominees and judging their future prospects as movies. Often while I read I picture the possible movie version. I'd love to see most of this year's crop (with the exception of 'Wake' which would only be more annoying). I can see where 'The City & the City' would be phenomenal. Not sure on 'Palimpsest'. If well done it would be a great thing, but it could so easily be screwed up.
The whole column is worth reading.
