Got this link via a friend from Facebook. It's an account of a pair of Sims characters that were created as homeless. The account has screenshots so you can see them and their reactions.
(For those who don't know, 'Sims' is a game where you play a simulated person. You find them a job, try to keep them happy and deal with their problems. I've heard it's very addicting.)

Hmmm, the requirements of this game sound suspiciously like parenthood!
We have a version of Sim City somewhere, but I don't think we've ever played it.
Sim city is different. Think of that as being a city manager and deciding how to zone areas and lay out roads and that type of thing. Also addictive but a very different frame of reference.
Every time I played Sim City, I kept flashing back to the Twilight Zone ep, "The Little People" and ended up shouting "I'm the god! I'M THE GOD!!!" at my monitor.
Bear in mind, this was in my college dorm, and I was night security.
We went through a Sims phase. It was way too stressful & too much work! to really enjoy, so we stopped.
Sometimes I think of my kids having those little arrows above their heads as I think, what are their levels? Are they low on sleep? Hungry? How high is their happy meter? *groan*
